When I was a kid we knew the cops in our neighborhood and they knew us. I never saw them pull out a gun on anyone. On the side of the patrol cars it said "to protect and serve". I know there are good cops out there that are professional but it seems that there are many cops who's best thinking is a warning shot to the chest.
